About DGM Override

The Master Data > Others > DGM Overridescreen provides users with a facility to override some settings loaded from the DGM files.

Upon loading the DGM data, the corresponding data is replaced with the information entered in the DGM Override screen. DGM override setting can also be used to impose a stricter limit per package.
Table 1. DGM Override Fields
Field Description
UN Number The four-digit number assigned by the United Nations Committee of Experts on the Transport of Dangerous Goods to identify a substance or a particular group of substances. The prefix, UN, must always be used in conjunction with these numbers.
Packing Group An indication of the relative degree of danger presented by various articles and substances.
  • I - high danger
  • II - medium danger
  • III - low danger
Class A number from 1 to 9 relating to the type of hazard a substance may display. This numbering is for convenience only.
RRR Cat Radioactive Category. The category of a Radioactive Package based on the Transport Index. Select the applicable category from the drop-down list.
  • I - White, a package with a Transport Index of 0.
  • II - Yellow, a package with a Transport Index of more than 0 but less than 1.
  • III - Yellow, a package with a Transport Index of more than 1 but not more than 10.
Pax/Cgo Allowed Select Yes or No from the drop-down list to define if IATA Passenger and Cargo aircraft provisions is allowed in this override.
Pack No Passenger and cargo aircraft packing instruction
Max Quantity Maximum net quantity per passenger and cargo aircraft to be allowed under the DGM override.
Max as Text Text for maximum allowed per passenger and cargo aircraft.
Zero as maximum Select this check box to indicate maximum nett quantity allowed under passenger and cargo aircraft packing instruction is zero.
Limited Qty Allowed Select Yes or No from the drop-down list to define if limited quantity is allowed in this override.
Pack No Limited quantity packing instruction allowed in the override.
Max Quantity The maximum net quantity allowed under limited quantity provisions for the override.
Max as Text Text for maximum allowed per passenger and cargo aircraft per limited quantity provision for this override.
Zero as maximum Select this check box to indicate maximum nett quantity allowed under limited quantity provisions for this override.
Cargo Only Allowed Select Yes or No from the drop-down list to define if Cargo Only is allowed in this override.
Pack No Cargo aircraft only packing instruction.
Max Quantity Maximum nett quantity per cargo aircraft only packing instruction for this override.
Max as Text Text for maximum nett quantity allowed per cargo aircraft only provision for this override.
Zero as maximum Select this check box to indicate maximum nett quantity allowed under cargo only provisions for this override.
