Configuring HAWB Manifest Settings

Manifesting rules and auto-accept options for House Air Waybills can be configured in the HAWB Manifest screen.

There are instances when flights are required by customs to print manifests with House Air Waybill detail. For the system to generate and print manifests, these settings need to be configured.
  1. Navigate to the HAWB Manifest screen. There are several ways of navigating to the HAWB Manifest screen.
    • In the Master Data > Carriers screen, click the HAWB Manifesting link.
    • In the Master Data > Others > Station Setting > Carriers tab, click the HAWB Manifesting link.
  2. Configure the HAWB Manifest parameters accordingly.
    Option Description
Global Select the Global check box to apply the HAWB settings to all departures. When selected, the Station and Carrier fields are disabled.
Station Use the Station field to apply the HAWB settings to all shipments of a carrier, departing from a specific station. Enter the three-letter airport code. For example, LHR. When the Station field is populated, the Carrier field becomes mandatory.
Carrier Use the Carrier field to apply the HAWB settings to all shipments of a specific carrier. Enter the two or three-letter IATA code of the carrier.
Require HAWB MAN Use Require HAWB MAN drop-down menu to define which countries or stations are applicable for the HAWB settings:
    • Not Required - HAWB Manifesting is not required
    • Required - HAWB Manifesting is required
    • By Flight Countries - HAWB Manifesting is required for all stations with flights being manifested. This option excludes the departing station itself but includes the manifest destination and all flight legs in between.
    • By Any Downline Country - HAWB Manifesting is required for all stations with flights being manifested. This option includes all flight legs in the routing but excludes the manifesting origin.
Note: When the By Flight Countries or By Any Downline Country option is selected, the Require HAWB MAN field in the Countries screen needs to be set to Required.
Auto-ACC HAWBs Select the Auto-ACC HAWBs check box to apply the HAWB settings to the shipment being manifested. All of the captured HAWBs are automatically accepted upon full MAWB acceptance.
Manifest, Collect, and Premanifest The Manifest, Collect, and Premanifest check boxes are HAWB Completion check settings. When the Manifest, Collect, or Premanifest check box is selected, the system confirms that all HAWBs are completed, and all shipment pieces or weight match the MAWBs, or within tolerance levels.

When a MAWB is missing a HAWB, the system rejects the completion of the PRE (premanifest), COL (collect status when working with HHT) or MAN (flight manifest).

Pieces and Weight The Pieces and Weight check boxes are HAWB completion tolerance settings. Enter the email address of the user or recipient of the notification. The system considers HAWB Shipment Data Capture or SDC to be complete when the pieces and weight from all HAWBs match the pieces and weight in the MAWB.

Selecting the Pieces and Weight check boxes allows the system to consider HAWB SDC completed.

Selecting only the Pieces check box allows the system to consider the number of pieces when checking for HAWB SDC. Weights are disregarded when using this option.

Selecting only the Weight check box allows the system to check that the sum of HAWB weight matches the MAWB weight. The number of pieces are disregarded when using this option.

When both the Pieces and Weight The system will check that all MAWB and HAWB pieces and weight must match exactly.
