Configuring Pre-advice Messages

You can configure Pre-advice messages for special cargo types in the Pre-Advice tab of the Carriers screen.

The Pre-Advice tab of the Carriers screen is only accessible when there is selected or current carrier record in the Carrier tab (Tab 1).

1. Navigate to the Carriers screen. Click Master Data > Carriers.
2. Query the carrier where you want to configure Pre-advice messages.
3. Click Pre-Advice.
4. In the Pre-Advice tab, you can create, modify, or delete Pre-advice messages.
   • Editing of an existing record is restricted to the Address field, to do this select the message from the Record List pane then click Edit F2.
   • To add a new pre-advice message, click Add (Ins).
   • To delete a pre-advice message, select the message from the Record List pane then click Delete (DEL).
5. Enter or modify the fields accordingly.
6. Click OK to save the modified or added Pre-advice message.
